Chain O'Lakes State Park in Spring Grove

The Paulsen Road Entrance offers horse trailer parking for up to 10 trailers and is the closer access point to the new 3.96 mile multi-purpose trail.
North Trail Loop is a hiking, biking and horse trail in Kane County, Illinois and within Burnidge Forest Preserve. There is ample parking, restrooms, and water at the trailhead.
Located in the state park are 4 trail systems including an equestrian trail with 3 loops and a total length of 8 miles. A parking lot with ample space for horse trailers and access to the equestrian trail is located near the park entrance.
Southeast of Rockford, Deer Run sits on 894.8 acres and offers over 9 miles of hiking and equestrian trails and is accessible from River Road as well as the south branch of the Kishwaukee River.
Trails within Glacial wind 4.78 miles through praries, past savannahs and restored wetlands, then cross Nippersink Creek. Trailer parking and trail acces is available at the Harts Road enterance off Route 31 north of McHenry or at the lot on Keystone Road north of District's Keystone Landing.
The 3.24 mile trail begins and ends off Hickory Nut Grove Lane and travels the edges 400+ acres winding through woodlands. The trail crosses Hickory Nut Grove Road into the Lyons Prarie and Marsh nature preserve section where it loops and doubles back. Trailer parking, water and restrooms are available at the Hickory Grove Highlands Parking area.
Lakewood Forest Preserve features dedicated equestrain trails and additional multi-use trails for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. A dedicated equestrian parking lot offers ample trailer space.
Enjoy Lockwood's beautiful 15 mile multi-use trail system in many ways- hiking, biking or on horseback!
The park's 3,092 acres includes two lakes. With 162 acres, Pierce Lake is a retreat for fishing or ice skating. 50 acre Olson Lake is a favorite among swimmers. We like Rock Cut most for the great riding trails!
5 miles of horse trails traverse through beautiful woods and open prarie. A decdicated horse trailer lot with hitching posts, water and restrooms helps make Rush Creek a favorite.
